Ballinasloe Area Community Development (BACD)
Ballinasloe wanted to reposition itself as an ideal destination for visitors and a hub for local businesses. Our brief was to create a contemporary logo and branding suite, and build a WCAG‑compliant directory website where businesses and event organisers could manage their own listings. The site needed to be intuitive, fast and SEO‑friendly.

Our approach
- Brand identity: We designed a vibrant logo and visual language that evokes Ballinasloe’s rich history, culture and community spirit.
- User‑friendly directory: The website features clear categories (What’s On, Places to Stay, Eat & Drink, Things to Do) and a prominent search function. Businesses and event organisers can submit their details via dedicated forms.
- Engaging content: Pages describe Ballinasloe as an ideal destination with scenic trails, heritage sites and lively festivals. Testimonials and magazine features add authenticity and encourage exploration.
- Interactive map: A built‑in map guides visitors to attractions, businesses and hidden gems, making planning easy.
- Accessibility & performance: The site complies with WCAG 2.2, loads quickly and is optimised for search, ensuring broad reach and usability.
Outcome
The new branding and website position Ballinasloe as a welcoming, dynamic destination. Local enterprises can easily promote themselves, and visitors can plan their trip with confidence. The project has strengthened community engagement and provided a platform for economic growth.
